# Zero Fees Paid On All Lightning Payments to Byte Store

After making several successful LN payments to the Byte Store I noticed that there were no fees paid. We wouldn’t expect a zero fee LN transaction over mainnet right?

Hello, yes we haven’t implemented a fee schedule yet (you can see several fee-related issue on our codebase [here](https://codeberg.org/ark-bitcoin/bark/issues?q=&type=all&sort=&labels=330899&state=open&milestone=0&project=0&assignee=0&poster=0)) but we will eventually have one.

TLDR: Lightning payment fees will need to cover:

- The Lightning routing fees
- The liquidity fee (lower for old VTXOs, higher for fresh VTXOs)

But like @acidbunny21 says, we’ll have some more updates on fee schedules soon hopefully!
